Lead Sewing Associate/Samplemaker
We are seeking a creative, talented individual to work in our sewing and samplemaking department. Responsibilities include: working closely with our design and quality departments to develop new products and improve the quality of existing products, training sewing associates and communicating with sewing contractors, and production sewing work as required. Skills and Qualities Necessary:
-3-5 years experience in production sewing or samplemaking
-Must have a proficient knowledge of written and verbal English
-Knowledge of basic word processing and email programs
-Ability to organize and prioritize multiply projects
-Have an eye for design and detail
-Proactive problem-solving skills
-Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
-Experience training or teaching a plus
-Patternmaking knowledge a plus
-Experience working with handbags and leather a plus
